About the Role
The specialist will be responsible for maintaining and improving email security infrastructure and DLP frameworks to safeguard sensitive information and ensure compliance with security standards.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and manage secure email gateway platforms to prevent phishing and malware threats
- Enforce data loss prevention policies across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments
- Investigate and respond to email-borne security incidents and data exfiltration attempts
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to identify and mitigate data exposure risks
- Maintain and tune DLP rules and content inspection policies for accuracy and coverage
- Support forensic investigations involving email and data transfer activities
- Evaluate new threats targeting email systems and recommend defensive measures
- Document security configurations, incident findings, and response procedures
- Participate in security awareness initiatives related to email safety and data handling
- Ensure DLP solutions integrate effectively with existing security tools and workflows
- Conduct regular audits of email and data transfer logs for policy compliance
- Assist in the deployment and configuration of email authentication protocols
- Troubleshoot email filtering issues and coordinate with service providers
- Stay current with evolving email attack techniques and industry best practices
- Support compliance efforts related to data privacy regulations
