About the Role
The role involves leading electrical aspects of construction projects, coordinating design teams, ensuring technical standards are met, and supporting project delivery from inception to completion.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of electrical systems in construction projects
- Ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical designs
- Produce and review technical documentation and design specifications
- Manage subcontractors and external consultants on electrical deliverables
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions when needed
- Conduct site inspections to verify installation quality and compliance
- Support risk assessments and method statement development
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders on technical requirements
- Ensure designs meet sustainability and energy efficiency goals
- Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems
- Maintain accurate project records and as-built documentation
- Assist in budget forecasting and cost control for electrical components
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering processes
- Ensure adherence to environmental and health and safety policies
- Facilitate design reviews and value engineering exercises
- Manage changes to electrical scope in line with project controls
- Support handover and closeout activities for electrical installations
- Promote innovation in electrical systems and construction methods
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are followed on site
