Celestica is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our team in Laem Chabang, Chonburi, Thailand. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement industrial automation and control systems, converting operational requirements into efficient electrical schematics and control logic, and integrating them with mechanical and software components. You will report directly to the Regional Automation Architect.
What You'll Do
- Design automation machine concepts and processes to meet project requirements.
- Create Bills of Materials (BoMs) for automation components and collaborate with the purchasing team.
- Perform automation line installation.
- Program PLCs for controlling automation machines.
- Code robotics for automation systems.
- Program image processing for automation machines.
- Maintain direct contact with in-house teams and end users.
- Provide machine instruction manuals and user training.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechatronic, Electronic, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in software development.
- Experience and knowledge in electrical wiring and schematic drawing, preferably using Eplan.
- Knowledge and experience in Electrical and Pneumatic system design.
- A result-oriented, hard-working, and reliable work ethic.
- Solid troubleshooting and communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Fluent in English.
- Fluent in the local language.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge and experience with PLC (Siemens) and ABB or KUKA Robotics programming.
- A track record of successful application development.
- Basic knowledge of image processing/machine vision and robot programming for automation.
- Proficiency in other regional languages, especially Mandarin Chinese.
