McCain is looking for an Electrical Commissioning Engineer to join our team executing commissioning of electrical power systems on heavy-duty and industrial power plants worldwide. You'll work on a diverse range of systems and OEMs, with a focus on protection systems and primary equipment.
What You'll Do
- Execute commissioning of electrical power systems on heavy-duty and industrial power plants worldwide across a large range of applications, including combined cycle, steam plants, industrial power plants, and thermo-solar.
- Commission LV-MV-HV and DC systems, including switchgears, motors, and auxiliaries.
- Commission protection systems (Unit-/Generator-/Transformer Protection) and primary equipment such as GCB’s and Transformers.
What We're Looking For
- Electrical Technician or Engineering degree.
- 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar commissioning role, preferably on power plant sites.
- Willingness to work internationally on challenging commissioning projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- A valid work permit for Europe.
Nice to Have
- Hands-on experience working with protection relays from various manufacturers like Siemens, ABB, and GE.
- Proven experience with test equipment such as the Omicron CMC356 or Sverker.
- You are a team player who interacts well with customers and co-workers from diverse cultures and origins.
