Claros Technologies is looking for a collaborative and detail-oriented EHS Specialist to support and execute its environmental, health, and safety programs. You will play a hands-on role in day-to-day activities, supporting compliance, hazardous waste management, and continuous improvement initiatives within our mission-driven team.
What You'll Do
- Support and administer the hazardous waste management program, including labeling, storage, documentation, and disposal coordination
- Maintain records related to hazardous waste, employee exposure, inspections, incidents, and environmental reporting
- Assist in evaluating technical projects and operations to ensure appropriate EHS controls and hazardous waste handling practices are in place
- Coordinate scheduling and documentation for hazardous waste pickups and vendor interactions
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify safety, health, and environmental risks; document findings and track corrective actions
- Assist with incident and near miss reporting, investigation, and metrics tracking
- Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of health and safety procedures across the organization
- Monitor compliance with established safety procedures and regulatory requirements
- Assist in maintaining permits and documentation required for continued operation
- Prepare and help deliver EHS training related to emergency procedures, site plans, workplace safety, and environmental compliance
- Ensure Safety Data Sheets (SDS) are maintained, current, and readily accessible
- Communicate EHS needs, observations, and improvement opportunities to internal stakeholders and the Safety Committee
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Science, or a related field
Nice to Have
- 2–5 years of related EHS experience
- Experience in laboratory, pilot scale, industrial, or technology driven environments
Technical Stack
- Standard office software and tools used for inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping
