American Medical Technology Inc. is seeking an EHS Coordinator to develop, implement, and manage our safety programs. You will be the key link between employees, management, and regulatory bodies, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local EHS rules while preventing workplace injuries and protecting the environment.
What You'll Do
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure compliance.
- Deliver safety training for new hires and existing employees on safe work practices and emergency protocols.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain accurate EHS records, including training logs, inspection reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Oversee the proper handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous materials.
- Work with all departments to integrate safety into daily operations and foster a proactive safety culture.
What We're Looking For
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret company procedures, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and the general public.
- Ability to perform a variety of mathematical calculations and apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, probability, and statistics.
- Ability to solve practical problems, interpret instructions, and draw valid conclusions from data.
- A valid Driver’s License.
- Knowledge of compliance and how to apply it to company policies and procedures.
- Knowledge of modern business communication and office procedures.
- Skill in using a personal computer and software packages such as the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.
Nice to Have
- Relevant certifications such as CSP or CIH.
- A degree in EHS, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
- Experience in EHS roles within manufacturing, construction, or similar environments.
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to lead training sessions.
