About the Role

MyFlorida's Department of Management Services is hiring a Staff Development and Training Consultant (Education Curriculum Developer Specialist) for its Office of Quality and Innovation. This internal role focuses on designing and evaluating workforce learning resources for the Department of Children and Families, applying instructional design methodologies to support positive outcomes for Florida families.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as an instructional designer on the Curriculum Development Team.
  • Develop and evaluate workforce learning resources like required trainings, programs, and specialty courses based on departmental needs analysis.
  • Ensure all training meets 508 accessibility, usability, and functionality standards for classroom, online, self-study, and blended formats.
  • Pilot new trainings to facilitate revisions before full implementation.
  • Assist program offices in planning, developing, and evaluating pilot learning programs.
  • Participate in or facilitate curriculum review committees with training managers and coordinators.
  • Assist in collecting training materials from program offices and coordinating a revision calendar.
  • Review historical training to determine suitability for eLearning technology conversion.
  • Work with the Quality Assurance Specialist to update a statewide training resource library.
  • Support the LMS team to maintain and update courses in the Department’s My FL Learn system.
  • Create training for statewide implementation and set curriculum coverage expectations.

What We're Looking For

  • 2 years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development for a workforce.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, and Articulate.
  • Experience in instructional design and curriculum development for a Health and Human Services organization.

Nice to Have

  • M.S. in instructional design or curriculum development.
  • 3 or more years of experience in instructional design and curriculum development for a workforce.

Benefits & Compensation

  • Salary Range: $60,000-$65,000
