Univision is hiring a full-time Editor & Photographer to join our team in Miami. You will shoot and edit video and audio for live and recorded TV and Digital productions, working closely with news and digital teams to create compelling content.
What You'll Do
- Shoot and edit breaking news and assigned stories using ENG cameras, mobile devices, and non-linear editing equipment.
- Work closely with news and digital producers, assignment desk editors, video editors, and the chief photographer.
- Shoot and edit special assignments and series as needed.
- Provide pictures and short/snap videos from the field for Social Media platforms.
- Set up and operate Live U equipment and microwave ENG trucks as needed.
- Assist video editor/acquisitions in editing and preparing video for newscasts using a server-based editing and playback system.
- Operate and maintain news vehicles and equipment in a safe and professional manner.
- Perform routine maintenance and light troubleshooting on assigned equipment.
- Upload video, digital pictures, and copy to the station’s website.
- Monitor scanners in vehicles for news stories.
- Travel for special assignments and coverage.
- Interact with engineering and production departments, and have daily contact with the public and officials.
- Complete other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

- Able to work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, evenings, and during inclement weather.
- High School Diploma.
- Personal computer experience, including non-linear editing.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish.
- Able to lift and carry broadcast video equipment (approximately 50 pounds).
- Able to drive a vehicle, bend, and set-up equipment for remotes.
- Able to sit for long periods of time.
- Possess vision and hearing acuity, and clear, audible speech.
- Manual dexterity in use of keyboard, cameras and other broadcast equipment.
- Able to work in outdoor and inclement weather conditions.
- Willing to work from our office in Miami.
- Willing to submit to a background investigation.
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
Nice to Have
- College degree or technical school training in Journalism, Radio/Television, Production/ENG or related field.
- 2 or more years working as a news photographer in a TV news or similar environment.
- Knowledge of lighting techniques.
- Experience operating a news live truck.
