The Denver Waldorf School Association is hiring an ECE Nursery Lead Teacher to begin in the 2026-27 school year. In this role, you will be the primary teacher for children ages 2½ to 4 years old, guiding their growth using the principles of Waldorf education.
What You'll Do
- Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, Waldorf-inspired early childhood curriculum.
- Establish daily, weekly, and seasonal classroom rhythms.
- Lead activities such as circle time, storytelling, puppet shows, artistic work, free play, and seasonal celebrations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with classroom assistants.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, including fall and spring conferences.
- Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development.
- Support admissions by meeting with prospective families when needed.
- Ensure compliance with Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) licensing regulations.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
- Early Childhood Waldorf Teacher Training.
- Additional training required by CDHS.
- Experience teaching young children.
- Exceptional communications skills and the ability to interact effectively with parents.
- Desire to work in a collaborative environment.
Nice to Have
- Knowledge of Waldorf educational philosophy.
