The Denver Waldorf School Association is hiring an ECE Nursery Lead Teacher to begin in the 2026-27 school year. In this role, you will be the primary teacher for children ages 2½ to 4 years old, guiding their growth using the principles of Waldorf education.

What You'll Do

Plan and implement a developmentally appropriate, Waldorf-inspired early childhood curriculum.
Establish daily, weekly, and seasonal classroom rhythms.
Lead activities such as circle time, storytelling, puppet shows, artistic work, free play, and seasonal celebrations.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.
Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with classroom assistants.
Communicate regularly and professionally with parents, including fall and spring conferences.
Participate in faculty meetings, school events, and professional development.
Support admissions by meeting with prospective families when needed.
Ensure compliance with Colorado Department of Human Services (CDHS) licensing regulations.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university.
Early Childhood Waldorf Teacher Training.
Additional training required by CDHS.
Experience teaching young children.
Exceptional communications skills and the ability to interact effectively with parents.
Desire to work in a collaborative environment.
