Stericycle is seeking a Driver Route Swing to protect health and well-being in a safe, responsible, and sustainable way. In this role, you will service various accounts, ensuring professional waste pickup and supply delivery on routes that change daily to cover absences and service changes.
What You'll Do
- Service various accounts for waste pickup and supply delivery in a professional manner.
- Manage routes ensuring customers' waste is picked up safely, timely, and accurately.
- Pick up and transport waste safely according to all federal, state, and local rules and regulations.
- Plan daily schedule based on customers' needs by reviewing daily paperwork.
- May prepare and load trucks to service select accounts.
- Pick up specified waste from each customer site scheduled for the day.
- Provide the highest level of customer service to assigned accounts daily.
- Ensure waste, supplies, and material handling equipment are secured prior to operating vehicle.
- Complete assigned paperwork legibly, neatly, accurately, and completely.
- Communicate with Transportation Supervisor and/or Dispatcher regarding any route changes.
- Report any problems/issues with accounts to Transportation Supervisor before close of business.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip maintenance on assigned truck.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities, as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Current driver's license (Standard or above) with an excellent driving record.
- All CMV/CDL drivers must be able to obtain a medical card by a certified medical examiner.
- Must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports and records.
Nice to Have
- 0-1 years of experience, preferably in driving small/box trucks.
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Team & Environment
You will report to a Transportation Manager/Supervisor or Dispatcher.
