Sasol is hiring a Driver to join our team in Temane, Mozambique. This role is centered on the safe, timely transportation and delivery of persons, packages, and products while upholding our commitment to safety and operational excellence.
What You'll Do
- Know and correctly use vehicle safety equipment and follow all safety procedures.
- Apply knowledge of emergency response procedures and basic first aid.
- Correctly use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) for the job.
- Identify, report, and correct vehicle damage and deviations from standard.
- Perform daily checks to ensure the vehicle is roadworthy per the GSO Journey Management Plan.
- Conduct first-line vehicle maintenance, including refueling and checking tire pressure, oil, and fluid levels.
- Report any deviations from schedule or sample availability.
- Identify and report unsafe conditions, taking precautionary measures.
- Provide adequate feedback to your manager as per reporting requirements.
- Follow instructions according to job requirements and plan your own activities, including optimal multi-stop routes.
- Support business goals by meeting deadlines and assisting your natural work team in daily activities.
- Ensure daily activities are executed according to plan and comply with site operational or project execution requirements.
- Ensure adherence to all rules, regulations, and the GSO Journey Management Plan.
- Maintain a valid Sasol Defensive Driving certification.
- Strictly adhere to required collection and delivery times and maintain a professional, presentable appearance.
- Build effective relationships with customers, colleagues, and management.
- Attend required training courses and seminars and identify personal training needs for your development plan.
- Serve as a liaison for services coordination between SPM and SPT vehicle fleet management.
- Courier items for the PMT to and from various project sites.
What We're Looking For
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Intermediate level of English language proficiency.
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a driver of personnel.
- Valid driver's license.
- Professional Drivers Permit.
Nice to Have
- Fleet management experience.
- SAP experience with notifications, work orders, Purchase Requisitions, and Service Entry Sheets.
- Basic computer literacy in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
