Carrier Process Equipment Group (CPEG) / Hebeler-Howard Marten Manufacturing LLC was looking for a Drafter

HEBELER-HOWARD MARTEN MANUFACTURING LLC is hiring a Drafter for its Hebeler-Howard Marten (HHM) division in Port Colborne, ON. You will coordinate and complete assigned engineering projects, analyzing customer requirements, creating accurate models, and preparing manufacturing documentation under the direction of senior designers. This role serves as a critical point of contact between on-site production staff and the remote design team.

What You'll Do

  • Create 3D models and 2D drawings for industrial fluid handling systems.
  • Prepare and complete customer and manufacturing drawings.
  • Review and incorporate project design requirements and specifications.
  • Draft piping, structural steel, vessels, and related components.
  • Prepare manufacturing material lists.
  • Select fasteners, gasket materials, and structural materials.
  • Interact with production personnel to address design questions, ensure manufacturability, and document feedback.
  • Assist other departments with design-related tasks as required.
  • Resolve technical design concerns in cooperation with Project Engineers and Project Managers.
  • Perform other related duties as required by management.

What We're Looking For

  • Associates degree (2-year) in a related field.
  • Strong proficiency with SolidWorks 3D, AutoCAD, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and PDM software.
  • General knowledge of mechanical design, fluid mechanics, piping systems, tubing, hydraulic diagrams, welding techniques, and manufacturing dimensioning and tolerances.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn.
  • Detail-oriented approach to tasks.
  • Adherence to Workplace Safety instructions and procedures, including knowledge of the Ontario Health & Safety Act, Section 28 (Worker Responsibilities).
  • Ability to travel to the US to support our Tonawanda, New York production facility less than 6 times per year.
