Canadian Blood Services is hiring a temporary full-time Donor Centre Manager to join our Collections team at the Saskatoon donor centre. In this mission-critical role, you will oversee all operations to ensure regulatory compliance, efficient workflows, and a positive donor experience while driving our blood collection objectives.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all aspects of donor centre operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, efficient workflows, staff management, productivity, quality, and safety while continuously seeking improvements.
- Ensure adequate staffing, supplies, and equipment to meet collection goals, manage staff through recruiting, mentoring, and development, handle budget planning and oversight, and collaborate with other teams on scheduling for maximum efficiency.
- Improve the donation experience to build donor loyalty by tracking key metrics and implementing improvements, ensuring timely donor communication, and fostering a culture of excellent donor care.
- Create a positive and inclusive work environment that fosters open communication, respect, and teamwork, motivate and support staff development, communicate regularly with teams and leadership, coach and mentor direct reports, and collaborate with other managers to develop annual collection plans.
- Liaise with the Quality Assurance department to promote and implement a continuous quality improvement cycle, including overseeing non-conformance management, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and participation in audits.
What We're Looking For
- Completion of a university degree in a relevant health care or business-related discipline.
- Minimum five (5) years of recent experience in a related supervisory, management, or leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer service and operational management.
- Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
- Proven analytical and decision-making skills.
- Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and variance analysis.
Nice to Have
- Experience working in a unionized and regulated environment considered an asset.

- Compensation range: $108,493.00 - $125,026.00
- Percentage in lieu for vacation.
