ServiceNow is looking for a Distinguished Engineer to provide technical direction and leadership across multiple engineering teams. You will partner with other technical leaders to ensure consistent technical leadership and the adoption of best practices across the entire development organization and platform ecosystem.
What You'll Do
- Provide technical direction to multiple engineering teams
- Partner with other technical leaders to ensure consistent technical leadership and adoption of best practices
- Identify and mitigate technical risk in projects with C-suite visibility
- Personally design and code key code components where needed
- Mentor junior engineers and the organization’s next generation of technical leaders
What We're Looking For
- Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving
- 10+ years’ experience scaling web applications built in Java on top of a relational database
- A proven track record providing technical leadership across multiple engineering teams
- Strong Java programming skills
Nice to Have
- Experience programming with modern in-browser JavaScript frameworks such as Angular, React, etc.
- Experience building enterprise software
- Experience with building source control integrations, continuous integration (CI) systems, continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, and/or DevOps pipelines
