DuckDuckGo is looking for a Director, Windows to lead the Windows Engineering Functional Team. You will guide the development of our flagship desktop browser, built on .NET/WPF, and own key product domains including Duck.ai, Extensions, Stability, and Performance. This role involves steering bold browser experiments while shaping the future of our desktop experience and building a world-class engineering team.

- Coach and mentor engineers, guide career development, and foster a high-performing culture.
- Optimize processes, eliminate bottlenecks, improve velocity, and maintain rigorous quality standards.
- Provide strategic leadership, translate product vision into executable roadmaps, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Make data-driven decisions that balance speed, privacy, and user delight.
- Shape the future of DuckDuckGo’s desktop experience while building a world-class engineering team.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years experience leading teams of technically strong developers working on large, complex consumer-facing products, desktop in particular.
- Proven leadership experience across multiple consumer-facing products with critical decisions that have broad, positive impacts.
- 4+ years experience in senior leadership roles (Director, VP) including people management, coaching, and mentoring.
- Proven experience leading technical teams through periods of rapid growth and scaling.
- Advanced level of .NET core expertise.
- Advanced level of WPF expertise.
