Ontra is seeking a Director, User Experience to lead innovative UX strategies and empower development teams to transform the user experience landscape for Platform projects. This player/coach leadership role reports to the Vice President, User Experience.
What You'll Do
- Guide the Platform UX team, fostering a culture of agile iteration, growth and innovation.
- Drive the creation and execution of user experience strategies for platform experiences that align with company objectives.
- Work closely with leadership partners to ensure development teams are empowered with insights and resources.
- Provide critical information and insights to help prioritize development tasks and strategies effectively.
- Embrace challenges confidently, ensuring the team remains adaptable and open to innovative solutions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of user experience across all platforms to elevate overall customer satisfaction.
What We're Looking For
- 8+ years in user experience roles.
- Minimum of 5+ years as an individual contributor.
- 3+ years of leadership experience.
- At least 2 years in a director-level position managing teams and projects.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design practices and proficiency in applying design systems.
- Expertise in conducting both qualitative and quantitative UX research and analytics to inform design decisions.
- Demonstrated ability in product strategy and possessing strong business acumen.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring team members.
- Excellent collaboration skills, working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Comfortable leveraging AI tools to enhance research, ideation, prototyping, and workflow efficiency.

- Ideally 2+ years as a director.
- Experience building AI features.

- Compensation: $224,000—$336,000 USD
