Responsibilities
- Collaborates with senior leadership to define and implement security policies, procedures, and strategic direction.
- Oversees vulnerability identification, assessment, and resolution initiatives.
- Conducts regular security audits to verify compliance with password standards, endpoint security, and privileged access controls.
- Ensures cybersecurity requirements are integrated into cloud infrastructure design and operations, with focus on resolving configuration weaknesses.
- Leads the annual IT risk evaluation process, aligning outcomes with enterprise risk management and reporting to the Board Risk Subcommittee.
- Assesses emerging security technologies and leads cross-functional teams to deploy new tools and standards as needed.
- Drives continuous improvement of the organization’s cybersecurity capabilities and operational maturity.
- Promotes awareness and adoption of security best practices across all 50 states within the network.
- Identifies and evaluates new security vendors and tools, serving as the primary expert and contact for advancing organizational security posture.
