Personalis is hiring a Director, Sales Training

About the Role

Personalis is looking for a Director of Sales Training to architect our commercial excellence. You will ensure our direct sales organization is equipped with clinical data and mastered in the art of the complex sale, bridging the gap between Medical Affairs and Sales by transforming complex concepts into actionable strategies.

What You'll Do

  • Design and execute a world-class 'New Hire Excellence' program to reduce ramp-up time for Territory Managers.
  • Develop a curriculum covering the Personalis value proposition, the clinical utility of our assays, and the competitive landscape.
  • Implement ongoing training focusing on clinical messaging, objection handling, and account management.
  • Partner with the Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to synthesize complex clinical data into 'sales-ready' messaging.
  • Establish and lead a regular cadence for presenting competitive intelligence, ensuring the sales team is prepared to pivot against market shifts.
  • Distill technical white papers and trial results into high-impact talk tracks and sales tools.
  • Manage the training tech stack (e.g., LMS, Sales Enablement platforms) to track completion and competency metrics.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to ensure all sales collateral is integrated into training modules and used effectively in the field.

What We're Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or the Life Sciences.
  • 10+ years in Sales Training or Sales Enablement within the Diagnostics, Biotech, or Medical Device sectors.
  • Ability to 'speak the language' of MSLs and Oncologists while translating that knowledge into a commercial context.
  • Proven track record of leading training initiatives that directly resulted in increased quota attainment.
  • Exceptional presentation skills.
