UBS Group AG is seeking a Director, Research Americas Equity US Software Analyst to join our team in New York, NY. You will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis and providing financial insights for select software securities, delivering the research that underpins sound investment decisions for our clients.
What You'll Do
- Conduct analysis and provide financial insights for select software securities to aid in making solid investment decisions.
- Prepare comprehensive research reports that include company overviews, competitive analysis, valuation, and other relevant information based on quantitative and fundamental factors.
- Author research reports on covered companies to communicate investment theses and opine on news flow events.
- Build and maintain detailed financial models to track and value companies.
- Communicate investment theses directly to clients and institutional sales.
- Attend industry and investor events.
- Perform due diligence for potential banking transactions including IPOs and follow-ons.
What We're Looking For
- A Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as a Financial Quantitative Analyst, Senior Analyst, Equity Research Associate, Consultant, or a related occupation.
- Proven experience covering software stocks.
- Experience building and maintaining full financial models in Excel with integrated P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
- Experience constructing investment theses on companies, factoring in valuation, catalysts, risk-reward, and sentiment.
- Experience with sell side or buy side software analysis.
- Experience analyzing 3rd party data.
- Experience presenting to and communicating with Software C-suite executives including CEO, CFO, CMO, and CSO.
- Experience liaising with software key opinion leaders.
- Experience with financial modeling and quantitative analysis.

Benefits & Compensation
- Annual salary range: $225,000 to $250,000.
