As Director, Product Design, you will guide the vision and execution of human-centered experiences for a platform dedicated to financial empowerment. You'll lead a distributed team of designers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment while actively contributing to design solutions and strategic decisions.
What You'll Do
- Lead, mentor, and scale a multidisciplinary design team across multiple product areas, ensuring consistency, quality, and alignment with user needs.
- Drive the full design lifecycle—from research and ideation to prototyping, testing, and final UI delivery—while maintaining a hands-on role in key initiatives.
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Marketing teams to align design strategy with business goals and user outcomes.
- Build and maintain scalable design systems, workflows, and documentation that support rapid, consistent product development.
- Champion user empathy across the organization, using both qualitative and quantitative insights to shape product direction and improve usability.
- Cultivate a team culture rooted in psychological safety, creativity, and continuous learning.
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in UX and product design for digital web and mobile platforms.
- At least 3 years leading design teams, with a focus on mentorship and professional development.
- Proficiency in Figma, Miro, and Fullstory, or equivalent design and collaboration tools.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey design thinking to diverse stakeholders.
- Experience conducting user research and usability testing to inform product decisions.
- Proven track record working in agile environments with cross-functional teams.
