About the Role
The Director of the Project Management Office will lead a team of project managers, establish best practices, and ensure successful delivery of client and internal projects through structured methodologies, performance tracking, and strategic alignment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of project managers to ensure consistent delivery
- Develop and maintain standardized project management methodologies
- Oversee project planning, execution, and closure across all initiatives
- Monitor project performance using KPIs and deliver regular reports
- Collaborate with department leaders to align projects with business goals
- Ensure timely delivery of projects within scope, budget, and timeline
- Identify and mitigate risks across project portfolios
- Drive continuous improvement in project management practices
- Manage resource allocation and capacity planning
- Establish project governance frameworks and approval processes
- Lead post-project reviews to capture lessons learned
- Support change management initiatives tied to project outcomes
- Ensure compliance with internal and client-specific project requirements
- Facilitate communication between technical teams and stakeholders
- Develop training programs for project management standards
- Oversee the use of project management software tools
- Coordinate with finance on project budgeting and forecasting
- Promote a culture of accountability and transparency
- Evaluate project success metrics and recommend adjustments
- Manage external consultants and contractors as needed
- Support organizational scalability through process optimization
- Ensure documentation standards are maintained across projects
- Lead strategic planning sessions for upcoming initiatives
- Foster collaboration between project teams and business units
- Maintain a centralized project portfolio dashboard
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in business administration or project management
- Certifications in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe frameworks
- Experience in manufacturing or distribution industries
- Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar platforms
- Knowledge of DevOps or CI/CD pipelines
