Ottimate is hiring a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to own all aspects of financial planning, analysis, and reporting. You will partner closely with senior leadership across Product, Sales, Payment Operations, Customer Success, and Engineering to drive financial insight, support strategic decision-making, and ensure fiscal discipline. This position reports to the CFO.
What You'll Do
- Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning processes.
- Develop comprehensive financial models integrating SaaS and payments revenue streams, including cash flow forecasts and scenario analyses.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and planning support to the C-suite and functional leads.
- Serve as the primary finance partner to leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Engineering, and Operations to evaluate business initiatives, pricing, and key metrics.
- Collaborate with Sales on commission plan design, quota setting, and sales efficiency analysis.
- Work with Product and Payments teams to model the financial impact of new features, pricing changes, and partner agreements.
- Analyze SaaS and payments performance KPIs including ARR/MRR, gross margin, retention/churn, interchange revenue, and take rate.
- Support product monetization strategies and payments/fintech-related compliance initiatives.
- Develop and manage dashboards, reporting tools, and KPIs for real-time visibility into financial and operational performance.
- Develop and manage models for SaaS metrics (ARR, NDR, CAC, Magic Number) and payments KPIs (GPV, Take Rate, Transaction Margin, cost of processing).
- Conduct in-depth cohort analysis, pricing and packaging analysis, and ROI analysis for new products and marketing initiatives.
- Own monthly and quarterly management reporting including variance analysis and board decks.
- Lead monthly variance analysis of actuals vs. budget/forecast, providing commentary on business drivers.
- Deliver actionable insights on operational efficiency, revenue growth, and margin improvement.
- Lead the buildout and optimization of FP&A tools (e.g., PowerBI, Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Excel).
- Drive automation of reporting and planning processes; ensure data integrity and consistency.
- Collaborate with accounting on close processes and reconciliation between GAAP and operating metrics.
- Manage, mentor, and grow a high-performing FP&A team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8–12 years of progressive FP&A experience.
- 3+ years in SaaS and/or Fintech environments.
- Deep understanding of SaaS metrics (ARR, NDR, CAC, LTV, churn) and Fintech/payments dynamics (interchange, processing costs, revenue share).
- Strong modeling skills and fluency in Excel.
- Experience with FP&A tools (e.g., Cube, Mosaic, Anaplan) and data platforms (e.g., Looker, PowerBI, Tableau).
- Excellent communication and presentation skills; comfort working with C-level executives.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects, identify and collaborate with key stakeholders, and influence without authority.

- MBA.
- Experience with B2B SaaS business models with tiered or usage-based pricing.
- Experience with Payments or embedded finance (e.g., integrated ACH/card rails, payout flows).
- Experience supporting venture capital- or PE-backed companies through scale, fundraising cycles, and M&A.
