Deloitte is looking for a Director, Mobility Tax to join its Global Employer Services (GES) practice. In this role, you will provide specialized tax advisory services to clients with global workforces, solve complex international tax issues, and manage client engagements and teams.
What You'll Do
- Supervise client projects, engagement teams, and client relationships, solving complex technical tax problems with innovative approaches.
- Advise clients on cross-border and international tax issues within an evolving global context.
- Leverage deep knowledge of global mobility taxation to deliver value-added tax advisory services, including identifying client needs and collaborating with other Deloitte services.
- Explain how to maximize technology, including generative AI, to improve efficiency, streamline processes, and ensure compliance.
- Mentor and help train less experienced employees by regularly holding development-focused meetings.
What We're Looking For
- An undergraduate degree with exceptional academic results; a Master's in Taxation or accounting designation.
- At least five years of relevant work experience in global mobility taxation, including providing cross-border tax advisory services and managing global engagements requiring knowledge of Canadian and U.S. taxation.
- A constant focus on professional excellence and client service; excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team.
- Willingness to guide and train less experienced team professionals.
- Superior oral and written communication skills in English and French.
- The ability to develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions; proven analytical skills and systematic problem-solving ability.
- Flexibility regarding work schedule, as the role requires overtime during different periods of the year.
- Bilingualism in French and English is required due to the nature of the role involving interactions with national and global client and project teams.
- The role may require travel within Canada and occasional travel abroad.

- Salary range: $84,000 to $140,000.
