Responsibilities
- Define and implement the organization's information security strategy in alignment with corporate objectives.
- Build and sustain strong partnerships across internal departments to promote security awareness.
- Advise senior leadership on security initiatives and ensure integration with broader strategic goals.
- Oversee the planning and allocation of the information security budget to support critical projects.
- Cultivate a high-performing, cooperative team environment.
- Establish measurable goals for team members that support the overarching security vision.
- Conduct performance reviews, deliver feedback, and guide career development for team personnel.
- Lead recruitment and onboarding efforts for security team roles as required.
- Partner with Platform and DevOps teams to enforce adherence to security best practices.
- Design and execute a robust security framework, including infrastructure, policies, and operational procedures.
- Work with cross-functional groups to evaluate security needs and configurations for emerging technologies.
- Architect and deploy secure network environments using firewalls, intrusion detection, encryption, and access controls.
- Ensure proper implementation and configuration of security tools to safeguard key assets.
- Supervise Application Security initiatives in close coordination with Engineering, DevOps, and Platform teams.
- Demonstrate understanding of detection engineering principles and practices.
- Manage daily security operations, system monitoring, and timely response to security events.
- Lead detection engineering efforts, including alerting systems and threat detection management.
- Direct incident response activities, including breach investigation, containment, and resolution.
- Develop and maintain operational performance metrics for security functions.
- Oversee relationships with external MSSP and XDR service providers.
- Maintain and update incident response plans, ensuring coordination with internal and external parties.
