Reltio is hiring a Director, Engineering to provide leadership and vision for our large-scale SaaS platform development. In this role, you will lead engineering teams from an end-to-end delivery perspective, driving the transition from manual processes to a fully automated environment and aligning teams to build software for strategic initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Lead engineering teams from an end-to-end delivery perspective for large-scale SaaS platforms in cloud environments.
- Lead product development using technologies like AWS, GCP, Azure, Spark, Hadoop, and Snowflake.
- Lead teams of application, front-end, and back-end engineers to drive full-stack innovation.
- Improve system performance, scalability, and maintainability.
- Provide the vision and direction to move from manual to fully automated processes.
- Supervise managers, programmers, quality engineers, technologists, technicians, and other software professionals.
- Align, inspire, and manage teams to build software for strategic initiatives.
- Inspect technical designs and work plans for new and existing projects.
- Account for project progress and outcomes.
- Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to new hardware, or improve performance.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility within time and cost constraints.
- Learn and keep up to date on the latest product functionalities, dependencies, architectures, and operational impacts.
- Support, enhance, and fix solutions for a rapidly growing business at massive scale.
- Research and develop solutions for customer support cases using product knowledge and troubleshooting.
- Confer with systems analysts, engineers, and programmers on system design and project limitations.
- Provide input on product/service enhancement requests to Engineering, Product Management, Sales, and Marketing.
- Share and develop best practices to enhance quality and efficiency.
- Store, retrieve, and manipulate data for analysis of system capabilities and requirements.
- Support Enterprise-focused applications with a focus on data management, analytics, and big data platforms.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
- Determine performance standards.
- Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning.
- Consult with customers about software system design and maintenance.
- Provide top-quality technical support for high customer satisfaction.
- Resolve customer technical issues through research, reproduction, and troubleshooting.
- Provide alternate solutions and exercise independent judgment in issue resolution.
- Analyze information to determine, recommend, and plan computer specifications and layouts.
- Direct activities of software systems development, applications development, and quality assurance functions.
- Develop and manage routine operational plans.
- Monitor and manage department costs.
- Exercise judgment to define procedures and policies.
- Translate functional plans into operational processes and guide execution.
- Provide input to manage costs for a unit or subunit.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering, or a related field.
- Ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
- Experience developing cloud-native SaaS MDM platforms.
- Hands-on experience with Big Data and Cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure, Spark, Hadoop, Snowflake).
- Experience managing development teams or product development projects with SaaS platforms in cloud environments.
- Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally across an organization.
- Experience overseeing end-to-end delivery and product development.
- Full-stack development experience, both front-end and back-end (Java, React, Python).
- Proficiency in analyzing and modifying software for improvement, compatibility, and error correction.
