Etihad Airways is looking for a Digital Solutions Architect to design and develop integrated, future-proof solutions. This role requires a strong focus on Amadeus solutions and systems, particularly booking engines, alongside Digital APIs and eRetail Web Services. You will collaborate closely with Digital Channels, Offer, Order, Merchandising, Customer Management, Revenue Management, and payment teams, providing thought leadership to shape the strategic roadmap.
What You'll Do
- Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Translate business and technical requirements into architectural enablers with stakeholders, IT teams, and system integrators.
- Oversee system integration to ensure seamless data flow, interoperability, and performance across the airline’s ecosystem.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend optimal solutions based on scalability, security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Provide technical guidance and troubleshooting support to cross-functional teams, ensuring adherence to architecture principles.
- Ensure compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements in partnership with cybersecurity teams.
- Establish and maintain architectural standards, documentation, and governance for consistency and quality.
- Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks, optimizing system reliability, efficiency, and scalability.
- Collaborate with project managers, UX/UI, and Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to align design, timelines, and deliverables.
- Manage relationships with vendors and technology partners to ensure timely, quality-aligned delivery.
- Continuously monitor system performance, recommend improvements, and drive architectural evolution.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations to identify opportunities for optimization and cost savings.
What We're Looking For
- 7+ years of experience in Solution Architecture with a proven track record executing complex IT projects.
- Previous experience with Amadeus airline systems is essential.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in senior stakeholder management.
- Proven experience collaborating with other architects, business teams, and project teams.
- Demonstrated ability to understand corporate strategy and implement the business processes that achieve strategic goals.
- Experience aligning business and IT, promoting shared approaches, and delivering sustainable enterprise architecture through agile and waterfall methods.
Nice to Have
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is desirable.
- One or more certifications in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture, such as SAFe Architect, TOGAF, Open Certified Architect, or ISEB Architecture, are preferred.
