About the Role

Amgen Inc. is seeking a Digital Product Senior Manager, Commercialization Reporting & Analytics to join our team. You will lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Commercialization Reporting & Analytics platform (Mercury), from strategic planning to roadmap execution and ongoing enhancements. In this role, you will act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure alignment and delivery of data-driven solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for the Commercialization Reporting & Analytics platform (Mercury).
  • Define, prioritize, and refine product features and requirements based on user research, business needs, and technology trends.
  • Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Own the product vision for Tableau-based dashboards and reporting tools; drive standardization and best practices in data visualization.
  • Develop and manage Smartsheet dashboards and reports to support project visibility, performance tracking, and automation.
  • Build and maintain automated workflows within Smartsheet to improve operational efficiency.
  • Partner closely with cross-functional teams, including Digital Technology & Innovation (DTI), Commercial, Clinical, and Regulatory functions.
  • Evaluate and integrate additional business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Databricks).
  • Monitor product performance, user engagement, and adoption metrics.
  • Lead user acceptance testing (UAT), training, and communication efforts to support platform releases.
  • Stay current with industry best practices in product management, data visualization, and biotech/pharma sector needs.
  • Foster a high-performance, cross-functional product culture focused on value delivery, innovation, and user-centered design.

What We're Looking For

  • Doctorate degree and 2 years of product management experience OR Master’s degree and 4 years of product management experience OR Bachelor’s degree and 6 years of product management experience OR Associate's Degree and 10 years of product Management experience OR High School Diploma / GED and 12 years of product management experience
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, ETL pipelines, and SQL-based querying; familiarity with enterprise data platforms.
  • Deep expertise with Tableau, including dashboard development, data blending, calculations, performance optimization, and user permissions management.
  • Strong hands-on experience designing and managing dashboards, reports, and automated workflows in Smartsheet.
  • Proven experience leading product development for enterprise reporting and analytics platforms, ideally in a regulated or complex environment.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated success working in cross-functional teams using Agile or hybrid development methodologies.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Nice to Have

  • Advanced degree (MBA, MS in Information Systems, or related field).
  • Experience with complementary data analytics & visualization tools such as Power BI and Databricks.
  • High proficiency in building and customizing Smartsheet solutions, including cross-sheet references, forms, automation rules, and complex dashboard configurations.
  • Familiarity with product management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence) and collaboration platforms.
  • Industry experience in the Biotechnology, Pharmaceutical, or other Healthcare-related field.
  • Understanding of the drug development lifecycle and relevant functions (e.g., Research, Clinical, Regulatory, Manufacturing, Commercial).
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and drive alignment across diverse partner groups.
  • Certification in Product Management, Tableau, or Agile/Scrum frameworks.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

This role reports to the Director of Amgen’s Portfolio Reporting & Systems Team within the Portfolio Management Office, Commercialization, Research & Development.

  • Annual salary range: $149,482.00 - $183,449.00 USD
