Postmedia is hiring a Digital Editor to join the Edmonton Journal-Edmonton Sun newsroom. In this full-time role, you will lead our digital operations and strategy, overseeing the newspaper's website, social media channels, newsletter strategy, daily analytics, and other digital initiatives.
What You'll Do
- Manage the newsroom's digital operations, including website, newsletters, and social media channels.
- Use website analytics to inform newsroom decision-making.
- Innovate new ideas to bring stories, photos, and video to audiences across digital platforms.
- Act as the digital lead for the newsroom in chain-wide meetings and training.
- Train other newsroom employees on digital platforms and content management systems.
What We're Looking For
- Experience at a daily news organization in a deadline-oriented environment.
- Fluency in digital platforms, multimedia journalism, and social media.
- Ability to work quickly and independently, meet multiple deadlines, and make efficient decisions.
- Ability to work constructively as part of a newsroom team.
Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $65,000-$70,000
