Responsibilities
- Evaluate existing infrastructure to detect inefficiencies and lead initiatives enhancing system performance and scalability
- Optimize Linux environments, adjusting both kernel and user-level settings to reduce latency and increase system stability
- Create and maintain real-time networking setups with low-latency requirements, tuning kernel settings, IRQ distributions, and CPU core assignments
- Build automated workflows using scripting tools such as Bash and Python to streamline operations
- Integrate and manage specialized hardware including FPGAs, custom network interfaces, and high-speed switches to reduce latency in trading environments
- Establish comprehensive backup protocols and failover plans, testing them regularly to ensure system resilience
- Address technical issues and support requests from internal Operations and Engineering teams
