RK&K is hiring a Development Manager to lead technical aspects supporting the Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) group in South Florida. You will partner with engineers, inspectors, and support staff to deliver engineering services to State, Federal, and Municipal customers. This position may include oversight and management of a team of construction engineering inspection staff.
What You'll Do
- Lead and contribute expertise on transportation construction engineering inspection and operations services and projects.
- Review and certify engineering documents to meet quality control goals and standards of care.
- Lead and mentor engineering and technician staff on transportation CEI and maintenance tasks.
- Incorporate the latest technology and innovation into tasks and projects.
- Manage the quality control process for deliverables.
- Interface with client's and/or teaming partners technical managers.
- Produce construction documents, specifications, and construction cost estimates.
- Understand FDOT, State, and local municipal and agency Specifications, Standards, and other manuals and guidelines.
What We're Looking For
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in civil and/or transportation engineering.
- Eagerness and passion for leading complex and routine CEI and maintenance projects and tasks, and creating lasting technical solutions.
- Willingness to teach and mentor staff on relevant technical aspects.
Nice to Have
- Engineering Degree (Civil preferred) from an accredited university.
- Florida State/local county(ies)/municipal agency experience.
