Priceline is looking for a Development Manager (Front-End/Mobile) to join our Product Operating Model (POM). In this role, you will lead the Auth team, a critical system touching all aspects of our business. Your focus is on building and enabling a high-performing engineering team that delivers high-quality, secure, and performant solutions, aligning technical execution with product objectives.
What You'll Do
- Hire, mentor, and coach developers to grow their skills and careers.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Allocate team members effectively across initiatives to maximize delivery capacity.
- Oversee timelines, deliverables, and commitments to ensure on-time completion.
- Facilitate daily standups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Identify and remove blockers, escalating issues where needed to maintain flow.
- Act as the key bridge between Product and Development teams, ensuring clear communication of priorities, requirements, and constraints.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers to balance business outcomes with technical feasibility.
- Partner with Architects and Engineering Leads to ensure alignment on design, standards, and long-term maintainability.
- Ensure solutions meet defined quality, security, and performance standards.
- Champion engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and code reviews.
- Promote a culture of building reliable, scalable, and secure systems.
- Identify opportunities to improve team velocity, predictability, and morale.
- Support adoption of the Product Operating Model practices, including persistent teams and quarterly outcome alignment.
- Partner with enablement and ops teams on tooling, metrics, and automation to enhance delivery.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 7+ years of related experience in front-end development and/or mobile development, Android or iOS.
- Front-End experience with Javascript/Typescript, React.
- Mobile experience with Java/Kotlin, Jetpack compose, Android SDK, Swift, SwiftUI.
- Skilled in Agile development and confident facilitating team ceremonies.
- Passionate about building strong, accountable teams and enabling engineers to do their best work.
- Able to balance technical excellence with delivery pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable using data to inform decisions and improve team performance.
- Strong cross-functional collaborator with clear communication and follow-through.
- Experience managing software development teams as a pragmatic and solutions-oriented leader.
- You have experience running backend services with a high level of reliability.

- Unquestionable integrity and ethics.

Benefits & Compensation
- Salary range: $130,000 – $155,000.
