Qdrant is looking for a Developer Relations Engineer in San Francisco to be the face and voice of Qdrant in the AI ecosystem. This role blends engineering, education, and community building to empower developers building AI applications with Qdrant.
What You'll Do
- Develop and maintain open-source showcase applications, including end-to-end RAG pipelines, recommendation engines, and AI search tools.
- Conduct research into emerging AI patterns to prototype new Qdrant use cases and experiment with cutting-edge embedding models and indexing techniques.
- Produce educational resources like technical blog posts, video tutorials, and clear tutorials.
- Lead Qdrant’s presence at hackathons and workshops, organizing challenges and mentoring developers.
- Deliver presentations and live coding sessions at conferences and workshops.
- Actively participate in the AI developer community on platforms like Discord, X, LinkedIn, and GitHub, responding to technical questions.
- Host and participate in local and regional meetups, technical mixers, and industry conferences.
What We're Looking For
- Strong coding background in Python, Rust, JavaScript, or Go.
- Genuine fascination with vector search, embeddings, and LLMs.
- Ability to explain technical architecture with clarity and enthusiasm in writing and on stage.
- Local presence in or eagerness to lead the San Francisco tech community.
- Creative mindset for creating tutorials and showcasing technical features through code and storytelling.
- Autonomy and empathy, being a self-starter who understands developer needs.
