1Password is looking for a Developer to join its growing AI team. You'll work on AI for Security, securing agentic workflows, or Security for AI, ensuring AI systems are built safely. This role is central to how 1Password sets the standard for secure AI adoption.

What You'll Do

• Code, test, debug, and deliver production software systems for AI-driven and security-focused product features.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development cycle to ensure smooth releases.
• Communicate technical requirements and trade-offs clearly to stakeholders.
• Participate in planning: breaking down work, estimating effort, and contributing to project planning.
• Write comprehensive unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and resilience of AI and security systems.
• Review code from teammates, maintaining quality while fostering a culture of open feedback.
• Document code and processes to ensure long-term scalability and maintainability.
• Stay informed on the latest trends in AI and security, proactively sharing knowledge with the team.
• Participate in on-call rotations to ensure continuous support of production systems.

What We're Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in software development.
• Strong foundation in software development best practices and coding standards.
• Interest or experience in security fundamentals and the intersection of AI, with a strong willingness to quickly learn and apply new technologies.
• Demonstrated ability to solve moderately complex problems with effective, scalable solutions.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to cross-functional partners.
• Passion for testing methodologies, debugging, and ensuring high-quality code.

Nice to Have

• Experience with languages like Go, Rust, Kotlin, Swift, JavaScript, or similar—or the ability to learn new languages quickly.
• Familiarity with LLM frameworks such as LangChain or Semantic Kernel.
• Knowledge of identity and security platforms like Okta, Auth0, ForgeRock, or Ping Identity.
• Experience deploying or securing cloud-based AI infrastructure on AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• USA-based roles: salary range $123,000 USD to $167,000 USD annually.
