National General Holdings Corp. (a member of the Allstate family of companies) is hiring a Desk Property Adjuster to handle our most complex Homeowners Claims. In this role, you will independently investigate losses, determine coverage, assess damages, and negotiate settlements. You'll also provide direction to junior employees and apply your deep expertise to claims involving significant subrogation or fraud potential.
What You'll Do
- Investigate and confirm facts of loss for the most complex first-party Homeowners claims.
- Determine coverage, evaluate damages, and adjust and negotiate claims within your authority.
- Recognize key components of residential construction, repair, and home systems.
- Identify complex customer needs and apply advanced customer service skills to meet them.
- Determine potential for subrogation or fraud and manage the appropriate handling.
- Partner with specialists in fraud or subrogation to achieve the best claim outcome.
- Provide guidance and direction to junior claims employees.
What We're Looking For
- Proficiency in Xactimate.
- Active adjuster licenses in TX/LA or other reciprocal states.
- A strong foundation in property claims handling.
- Solid negotiation and customer service skills.
- Detail-oriented with comfort writing estimates and supplements independently in a virtual setting.
- Strong understanding of wind and hail damages.
- Demonstrated experience at an Adjuster II level or in a claims specialty position.
Nice to Have
- Residing in the Central or Eastern Time Zone.

- Compensation is based on experience level: Inside Property Cons I: $53,500.00 - 77,800.00, Inside Property Cons II: $56,000.00 - 82,500.00, Inside Property Sr. Cons I: $68,500.00 - 104,100.00, Inside Property Sr. Cons II: $70,100.00 - 110,400.00.
