Responsibilities
- Collaborate with plant engineering, maintenance, and department staff in a team setting.
- Exchange information with project teams, maintenance, and department personnel.
- Attend project and safety meetings related to plant engineering activities.
- Take part in sessions to estimate project requirements and resources.
- Create various technical drawings including layouts, P&IDs, process flows, piping, structural, electrical, fabrication, and installation plans.
- Generate print plots, duplicate drawings, and convert documents into PDF format.
- Conduct on-site measurements in the field.
- Perform beam load calculations and design elevated platforms.
- Ensure designs meet OSHA standards for construction, ladders, railings, decks, piping, electrical systems, and ASME pressure vessels.
- Evaluate equipment drawings provided by vendors.
- Prepare material lists, request quotes, initiate purchase requisitions, and monitor material status.
- Maintain archives of drawings and material documentation, and assist in retrieving stored records.
- Provide graphic design support for SEA and plant-related needs.
- Assist maintenance teams with flat patterns and component drawings.
- Complete additional duties as assigned by management relevant to the role.

- Capable of performing duties with minimal supervision.
- Required to operate a computer for up to eight hours daily.
- Must be able to conduct measurements in a chemical plant environment.
- May need to wear additional personal protective equipment such as respirators, fall arrest harnesses, gloves, chemical suits, and hearing protection.
- May be required to enter confined spaces.
- May be required to work at elevated heights.
- Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State due to ITAR regulations.
