What You'll Do
Lead the creation, evolution, and governance of a scalable design system that unifies visual language, interaction patterns, and technical implementation across platforms. Define the structure and architecture of design libraries in Figma and code, ensuring long-term consistency and adaptability.
Develop and document design tokens, components, and usage guidelines, aligning them with product needs and technical constraints. Work closely with engineering teams to implement reusable UI elements across web, iOS, and Android, ensuring seamless handoff and cross-platform parity.
Conduct regular audits to evaluate visual, functional, and experiential coherence across products. Identify gaps and opportunities for improvement, translating insights into actionable updates. Establish versioning processes, change management, and maintenance workflows to support continuous iteration.
Lead adoption efforts through workshops and training sessions, empowering design and product teams to use the system effectively. Promote best practices in design and development collaboration, streamlining workflows and reducing redundancy.
Requirements
You bring over five years of experience in design systems, with deep expertise in Figma—especially component libraries, variants, design tokens, auto-layout, and shared design systems. You understand how interface elements are translated into code and have worked with tools that bridge design and development, such as Storybook or component-driven frameworks.
You can structure complex design challenges and deliver scalable solutions. Your communication skills allow you to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders and collaborate effectively across disciplines. You’re proactive, curious, and committed to continuous learning and improvement.
Experience documenting style guides, interaction patterns, and technical specifications in platforms like Zeroheight or Storybook is essential. You also prioritize accessibility, ensuring all components meet WCAG standards and support inclusive design.
