Empatica is hiring a Design Intern to join our Design team in Milan at a pivotal moment as we scale to become a leader in remote health monitoring. You will report to the Director of Design, shadowing, learning, and assisting the team on a variety of projects while working closely with our Product and Marketing teams.
What You'll Do
- Reimagine medical experiences by applying consumer design patterns.
- Support the full design process—from user research to wireframes, mockups, prototypes, testing, and iteration.
- Ensure a strong, consistent experience across all of Empatica's physical and digital touchpoints, including packaging and material systems.
- Use service design tools and best practices to support teams and stakeholders, smoothing collaboration.
- Contribute to the design and overall UX of the Empatica website.
What We're Looking For
- A completed degree in Design, Visual Arts, or a relevant field, with a strong focus on graphic and communications design.
- Basic understanding of design principles, user experience methods, and tools like Figma and the Adobe suite.
- Good design, aesthetic, and analytical skills.
- Strong interest in UI/UX design, digital products, and user-centered design principles.
- An inherent ability to think in systems.
- A genuine passion for Empatica’s products and mission.
- Resilience, a get-things-done attitude, and an innate desire to do great work.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
Nice to Have
- Some video experience.
- Some previous experience as a designer.
