Shape the future of our design system by solving high-impact challenges across the product. As a Design Engineer, you'll take full ownership of projects from initial research through implementation, ensuring solutions are grounded in user feedback and technical feasibility.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the redesign of the mobile web application using insights from customer research and testing
- Develop and refine wireframes and product specifications for new user flows
- Build modular, reusable components within the design system to empower engineering teams
- Enhance information hierarchy and interface clarity to improve user experience
- Collaborate with designers and engineers to solve complex product problems
- Implement end-to-end solutions in code, using React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Proactively communicate progress, blockers, and trade-offs to stakeholders
- Integrate support from infrastructure and design roles when necessary to move quickly
- Share knowledge and improvements across teams to strengthen system-wide consistency
What We’re Looking For
- Proven ability to design and develop software with a strong eye for usability
- Experience refining design concepts directly in code
- Proficiency with Figma and component-based frameworks like React
- Skill in building prototypes that reflect real data and logic
- Track record of driving projects from problem discovery to shipped code
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Familiarity with systems that scale design decisions across large applications
Nice to Have
- Experience leading mobile web redesigns informed by user research
- Background in creating and maintaining design systems and reusable UI libraries
- History of improving navigation and scannability in complex interfaces
- Understanding of software that supports both new and advanced users
Technology Environment
Work with modern tools including Figma, React, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Our development pipeline includes CI/CD with fast feedback loops, a custom debugger, analytics modeling, a policy engine, and a workflow engine—all supported by a well-maintained design system.
Work Environment
Remote-first with team members across the EU. Engineers enjoy protected focus time, with fewer than two hours of meetings per week. We prioritize deep work and intentional communication. The role operates on regular business hours with global team coordination.
