John Deere is looking for a Design Engineer to join our team at the ETEC in Monterrey. You will be assigned to a design team where you will tackle challenges related to electrical harnesses, schematics, and network communication for agricultural and related equipment. What You'll Do
- Create 3D models of electrical harnesses and cables, adhering to design guidelines and standards.
- Interact with multiple functional areas including PV&V, Supply Management, Manufacturing, Quality, and Production to verify interfaces and resolve interferences.
- Develop electrical schematics and topology plans according to internal and external standards.
- Define network communication specifications and strategies.
- Make critical decisions for flexible component design and basic electrical engineering design across different EPDP programs.
- Interact with harness suppliers to ensure quality standards are met.
- Provide guidance and feedback to contract engineers and external engineering companies providing design support.
- Participate in decisions regarding chassis, engine, and other areas that affect flexible component routings.
