Job What will you tackle as our new Quality Assurance Lead? • Dive deep with utility clients to understand how distributed energy resources (DERs) are transforming distribution systems, delivering solutions that help them manage and plan for this dynamic landscape • Unpack client business needs and demonstrate how our solution doesn't just meet expectations, but blows them out of the water • Spearhead Requirements Management, creating a comprehensive set of approved requirements that can be traced seamlessly through solution design, QA plan, and test cases • Craft Master Test Plans and Test Strategies that are razor-sharp and contextually brilliant • Ensure test strategies align perfectly with current business processes and system usage • Champion the QA function in internal initiatives, keeping teams informed and connected • Lead testing activities, estimate efforts, and communicate with precision • Partner across cross-functional teams to guarantee comprehensive testing coverage • Proactively identify, mitigate, and drive product issues to resolution • Analyze user story requirements, validating testability with a keen eye • Log defect reports, perform retests, and communicate progress transparently • Collaborate closely with Service Engineering to ensure custom deliverables meet defined needs and standards • Respond to client inquiries, bugs, and product ideas, filing tickets for the Product team • Execute use case and client-specific testing, leading factory and site acceptance testing • Define user acceptance testing processes with crystal-clear test cases and progress metrics Required Skills: • Education - Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, with power systems focus or equivalent experience • Experience - 10+ years in Quality Assurance testing with robust understanding of testing tools - Expertise in: * Cloud/Web-based and client/server application testing * Test automation and hands-on automated testing tools * Performance testing practices - Exceptional customer engagement and communication skills - Collaborative team player - Continuous process improvement mindset - Experience developing customer-focused solutions - Skill in creating estimates, SOWs, and proposals - Excellent test design and documentation capabilities - Strong independent judgment and multi-tasking abilities • Knowledge - Deep understanding of emerging energy industry trends and DER management implications • Problem Solving - Quick comprehension of approaches and processes - Creative solution design for complex challenges - Ability to drill down to precise details • Communication - Articulate written and verbal skills - Can translate complex technical topics for diverse audiences • Client Focus - Thrives on client interactions - Laser-focused on client success - Crafts compelling user stories • Innovation - Genuine curiosity about new tools and technology - Rapid software learning without extensive hand-holding Additional Information Relocation Assistance Provided: No #LI-Remote - This is a remote position #LI-ES1
