Ontic is hiring a Senior QA Engineer to take responsibility for designing, developing, and executing test cases for front-end, API, and integration testing. In this role, you will contribute to test planning and execution for multiple releases, with a particular focus on maintaining test coverage and quality standards for FedRAMP features.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and execute test cases for front-end, API, and integration testing.
- Contribute to test planning, estimation, and execution across multiple releases.
- Ensure test coverage and quality standards are maintained for FedRAMP features.
- Collaborate with developers and QA team members to resolve issues effectively.
- Own QA deliverables including bug tracking, test documentation, and progress reporting in JIRA.
- Support system integration testing and continuous delivery workflows (CI/CD).
- Identify automation opportunities and contribute to building test automation frameworks.
- Work independently with minimal supervision, and proactively communicate progress and blockers.
What We're Looking For
- 4-7 years of experience in manual testing.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, software development lifecycle, and testing best practices.
- Experience with test management tools like JIRA.
- Proven ability in functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development processes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with a willingness to learn and adapt.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship, now or in the future.
Nice to Have
- Exposure to automation is a plus.
- Experience in automation frameworks or scripting.
- Experience with MongoDB, AWS, and Elasticsearch is highly desirable and would be a strong advantage.
- Exposure to FedRAMP environments or working on government projects.
- Prior experience with FedRAMP or secure testing practices is a strong plus.
