TD Bank is hiring a Delivery Manager, Payments to be responsible for delivering key initiatives within the TD Securities Value Creation Plan team. You will focus on payments, AML, sanctions, and payments compliance, planning and managing distinct initiatives through all phases to modernize payments processes and infrastructure in partnership with Technology and Operations.
What You'll Do
- Be a trusted partner and first point of contact for Senior Managers to drive Project Delivery and solve problems.
- Deliver innovative solutions to complex problems leveraging deep domain expertise and senior relationships.
- Plan, manage, and deliver distinct initiatives through all specific phases within the Payments, AML, sanction screening, and payments compliance space.
- Provide leadership, direction, and coaching to team(s) while partnering with Technology and Operations.
- Manage projects with moderate regulatory oversight and ensure end-to-end delivery of programs.
- Produce a delivery operating model to maximize efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability for locally owned projects.
- Facilitate project execution through Rapid, TD Agile, and Waterfall delivery approaches as appropriate.
- Accountable for key delivery decisions and aligning technology and business objectives.
- Support senior leaders in structuring and securing approval for business case and funding.
- Contribute to a team comprised of delivery professionals such as delivery managers, scrum masters and business/QA analysts.
- Challenge program estimates and support the team in removing roadblocks.
- Ensure initiatives are delivered based on agreed scope, timeline and approved budget.
- Establish program governance structures for effective delivery orchestration.
- Establish and manage resource plans, issues, risks and financial plans.
- Create and maintain comprehensive delivery management artifacts.
- Coordinate with enterprise control partners to select, engage and manage external service providers.
- Manage initiatives through to completion including Planning, Execution, Control and Closure.
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Outstanding record of project delivery success, preferably in Capital Markets and Payments related initiatives.
- Experience and strong subject matter expertise in Payments Operations/Payments Technology/Payments Processing /AML/Sanctions, ideally managing change projects in this space.
- Comprehensive knowledge of project management practices, including strong working knowledge of delivery methodology and collaboration tools including JIRA and Confluence and using Agile approaches.
- At least 2 years' experience with project delivery/scrum coaching through leading streams and/or representing a business in a large program.
- Exposure to financial management with respect to tracking, forecasting and managing project budgets.
- Strong leadership skills to lead by example, champion change and develop a highly motivated team.
- Ability to make an impact, influence and achieve results with effective negotiation, problem-solving and communication skills.
- Superior inter-personal skills including conflict resolution, influencing and negotiation.
- Demonstrated experience leading diverse, high performing teams.
- Team player with ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external partners.

- Ability to progress on multiple priorities concurrently while navigating unfamiliar territory and ambiguous circumstances.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- University degree or equivalent.
- Advanced capital markets and/or payments/AML business knowledge and skillset typically obtained through 7-10+ years of experience within a specific domain(s).
- Experience with project delivery through leading streams and/or representing a business in a medium / large project.
Nice to Have
- Strong understanding of Operations functions (payments processing, confirmations, settlements, cash reconciliation, etc).
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM or CSP designation preferred.
- Certified Agile Coach or Scrum Master is an asset.

You will join a team comprised of delivery professionals such as delivery managers, scrum masters and business/QA analysts. This role is part of the TD Securities (TDS) Value Creation Plan team, partnering with Technology and Operations teams. You will be a first point of contact for Senior Managers and will support the Project Delivery Lead, Executive Sponsor and Business Owner.
