loanDepot is hiring a Default Prevention Associate to join our Mortgage Collections team. In this customer-facing role, you will handle inbound and outbound calls, providing quality service while working through payment collection efforts on loans up to 45 days past due. You will review and resolve in-depth servicing issues, research, and escalations.

What You'll Do

Understand all GSE, HUD/VA/USDA guidelines for retention and disposition options to effectively communicate with customers.
Work directly with delinquent borrowers to resolve past due delinquency; negotiate reasonable payment arrangements, extended repayment plans, and collect on past due loans.
Discuss appropriate foreclosure alternatives by providing detailed requirements for package submissions and review timeframes.
Demonstrate full understanding of all stages of delinquency including collections, loss mitigation, bankruptcy, FCL, and REO.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of Mortgage Loan Servicing or Mortgage Collection experience.
Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be willing to work Monday-Friday 10am-7pm Central time.

Nice to Have

Black Knight/MSP experience.
Knowledge of Loss Mitigation/Default Servicing.
Spanish speaking.
