Kyndryl is looking for a DB2 DBA for z/OS to play a critical role in designing, managing, and maintaining robust database systems that support our global operations.
What You'll Do
- Configure, install, and maintain z/OS DB2 database systems
- Manage user access and enforce data security standards
- Perform database performance tuning and optimization
- Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies
- Support application development teams with DB2 expertise
- Create and manage databases and tablespaces based on project requirements
- Conduct capacity planning and usage forecasting
- Collaborate with global teams to align database initiatives with business goals
- Propose and implement system enhancements for improved performance and reliability
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations
What We're Looking For
- Strong knowledge of z/OS
- Advanced English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency in JCL, TSO, SDSF, JES2, ISPF
- Experience with DB2 Utilities: Reorg, Copy, Runstats, Load, Unload, Recovery, ReBuild
- Familiarity with IBM QMF, SPUFI, DB2 Admin, and ISV tools
- Expertise in DB2 Backup and Recovery
- Experience with DB2 Single and Datasharing systems
- Proven ability in database performance tuning and optimization
- Hands-on support for application development teams
