Job Description Title: Data Warehouse Specialist # 17501/200660 Location: Albany, NY Duration: 24 Months Day to Day Tasks The Data Modeler will participate in a team approach to: 1. Work with SMEs, BI Business Analyst and BI Technology team to understand the data requirements and the full attribute set for entities and dimensions; 2. Convert business processes, domain specific knowledge, and information needs into a conceptual model; 3. Convert conceptual models into logical models with detailed descriptions of entities and dimensions; 4. Develop and maintain fully defined conceptual, logical and physical dimensional data model to ensure the information models are capable of meeting end user and OBIEE developer needs; 5. Develop data models and data migration strategies utilizing sound concepts of data modeling including star schema, snowflake schema, etc 6. Model aggregation layers and specific star schemas as subject areas within a logical and physical model 7. Understand and meet referential data integrity requirements 8. Document decisions made in meetings and alternative solutions discussed Qualifications Requested Qualification: 60 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience with developing and maintaining logical and physical dimensional data models, building data migration strategies utilizing sound concepts of data modeling including star schema, snowflake schema, etc 60 Months Demonstrated hands-on proficiency in a data modeling tool (e.g, ErWin) 60 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience in relational data management disciplines and strong design and development experience using Oracle technologies 60 Months Demonstrated hands-on experience with SQL programming 60 Months In-depth hands-on experience with business intelligence tools (e.g.OBIEE 11G) which demonstrates a strong data analytics background 60 Months Demonstrated hands-on, in-depth understanding of how to design and create BI applications and health care business intelligence reporting solutions 36 Months Demonstrated analytics and communications experience (e.g., math, statistics, quantitative methods, and writing proficiency) Bachelors degree in business intelligence, information science, computer science, or mathematics A copy of the degree must be submitted with the Candidate Response Form Additional Information Please note that we allow Skype/remote interviews.
