The Data Steward & Process Expert plays a key role in ensuring high-quality data and effective processes within Nationale-Nederlanden's Asset Finance team. This position bridges data governance and process optimization, supporting investor reporting and organizational trust through structured analysis, documentation, and continuous improvement.
What You'll Do
- Analyse data quality issues, resolve inconsistencies, and collaborate with data owners to identify root causes
- Translate data findings into improvements in business processes
- Design and document clear current-state and target-state workflows
- Write, refine, and maintain process descriptions
- Maintain control documentation
- Test whether processes operate as designed
- Improve processes where necessary
- Review, define, and help embed governance, roles, and controls to ensure teams work according to agreed standards
- Facilitate risk assessments
- Test whether controls are well-designed and operating effectively
- Drive findings to closure
- Work with stakeholders across Finance, Risk, Technology, and business teams to align improvements
- Embed better ways of working
What We're Looking For
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with databases and process documentation including risk assessments and test of controls
- Master degree
- Strong analytical problem-solver with the ability to structure and investigate complex issues
- Detail-oriented professional with a strong risk mindset
- Ability to document precisely and clearly
- Clear communicator
- Fluent in English (written and verbal)
- Already residing in the Netherlands
