Wealthsimple is looking for a Data Scientist, ML - Valuations to join our team. In this role, you will develop machine learning models to improve and automate our financial valuation capabilities, working closely with product and finance teams to deliver data-driven solutions.
What You'll Do
- Research, design, and implement machine learning models for financial valuation tasks
- Build end-to-end ML pipelines from data exploration and model training to production deployment
- Analyze complex datasets to identify patterns and insights relevant to asset valuation
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and finance partners to define project goals and integrate models
- Monitor model performance in production and iterate to improve accuracy and reliability
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience developing and deploying machine learning models in a production environment
- Strong proficiency in Python and common data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, Scikit-learn, PyTorch/TensorFlow)
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling, machine learning algorithms, and experimental design
- Experience with data processing and analysis at scale
- Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to cross-functional partners
