Citizen is looking for a Data Scientist, Machine Learning to join our mission to protect the world. You will lead initiatives and drive development of key, net-new features as the lead ML expert, enhancing our global safety network through applied analytics and AI.
What You'll Do
- Lead ML initiatives and drive development of key, net-new features.
- Spearhead projects like real-time audio transcription, relevance detection, and converting unstructured information into structured content.
- Guide prioritization and impact analysis across ML initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to leverage new AI/ML tooling within the workflow.
- Enhance predictive analytics to predict users heading towards significant events like converting to paid plans or churning.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years experience leading and delivering effective ML solutions for production use cases.
Nice to Have
- Computer Science degree or Machine Learning related degree; or equivalent work experience in the field.
- Good theoretical grounding in core Machine Learning concepts and techniques.
- Experience with a number of ML techniques and frameworks, e.g. data discretization, normalization, sampling, linear regression, decision trees, SVMs, deep neural networks, etc.

- Salary: $160,000–$205,000 per year + equity.
