Responsibilities
- Use classical machine learning, natural language processing, and large language models to interpret unstructured text such as notes and transcripts.
- Create models for identifying topics, categorizing content, detecting sentiment, extracting entities, and recognizing errors in textual data.
- Build rigorous evaluation systems using metrics like precision, recall, and F1 score, and perform repeated error analysis to enhance model accuracy and dependability.
- Design and implement applications powered by large language models to support technical staff in their workflows.
- Apply effective prompt engineering strategies including Chain-of-Thought reasoning, few-shot examples, and structured output formatting.
- Utilize Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to improve response quality by grounding outputs in external knowledge sources.
- Develop agentic systems capable of tool interaction, multi-step reasoning, API orchestration, and maintaining state across operations.
- Integrate safeguards, validation checks, and techniques to reduce hallucinations in generative AI outputs.
- Design, build, and release scalable APIs, applications, and automated processes driven by artificial intelligence.
- Make informed architectural decisions that balance speed, cost, efficiency, stability, and long-term maintenance requirements.
- Construct modular and sustainable systems that integrate smoothly with enterprise data platforms and operational tools.
- Set up continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines to automate software delivery.
- Manage cloud infrastructure through Infrastructure as Code, containerize services, and deploy on Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement monitoring, logging, version control, and rollback mechanisms to ensure system resilience and visibility at scale.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and business teams to convert real-world problems into practical AI solutions.
- Document system designs, decisions, and key insights clearly and consistently.
- Guide and support team members in advancing technical capabilities and fostering a culture of high engineering standards.
