Responsibilities
- Examine large volumes of structured and unstructured data using scientific algorithms to derive insights and enhance business outcomes in areas like pricing, financial returns, web and call analytics, fraud detection, forecasting, and auction analysis.
- Apply mathematical theory by building and utilizing predictive models, boosted models, decision trees, random forests, support vector machines, neural networks, deep learning, regression techniques, and experimental design.
- Use programming and analytical tools including R, Python, SQL, and Tableau to extract, process, and analyze data, and to develop, validate, and deploy predictive models.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as Operations, Legal, Compliance, IT, Vendor Management, and Finance to understand domain challenges and identify appropriate statistical methods.
- Employ statistical modeling and partner with technology and business units to evaluate operational feasibility and integration into production systems.
- Conduct profitability assessments to determine the financial impact of new analytical models.
- Monitor model inputs, sampling strategies, and performance metrics, and adjust models as necessary to maintain accuracy and relevance.
- Design and implement statistically sound experiments to expand business knowledge and evaluate the effectiveness of hypotheses.
- Investigate and apply cutting-edge statistical and machine learning methods, including artificial intelligence, to advance analytical capabilities and explore innovative solutions.
- Communicate findings from statistical analyses and deliver clear, written recommendations to senior leadership.

- The role requires the ability to lift at least 50 pounds and maintain organized storage and IT work areas.
- This is a full-time position with a Monday-Friday workweek, subject to occasional changes including on-call responsibilities.
